Conferences

This year, the MIS Club wants to keep anyone interest in Business & Technology in the loop for Case Competitions and External Conferences that they can attend.  We really encourage building your network and seeing what is out there.  Here a few conferences that are coming up this academic year.

1) Alberta MIS Conference 2016

Date: January 30, 2016
Location: Edmonton, AB

This annual conference provides students with an opportunity to network with industry professionals as well as the chance to attend one of the School of Business’s biggest conferences. It has been hosted every year since the club’s inception and brings together the best and brightest students who have a keen interest in what MIS is and what value it brings to employers and industry professionals. Over the years, many students have found prospective job opportunities and even made some lifelong connections whether that is with other students or established professionals. The conference commonly hosts a well-known and successful individual in the field of MIS as a keynote speaker to inspire leadership and tenacity within students. The rest of evening is left to networking and socializing with hors d’oeuvres and wine in typical cocktail party style.
